About Us

A safe, responsible made-in-America solution

Not many companies have the privilege of being in an industry that has the potential to change the world. But Piedmont Lithium is, and it’s not something we take lightly.

We understand that the need for sustainably, responsibly resourced and produced lithium continues to rise. The Carolina Lithium Project in Gaston County will help America meet that demand.

It is a sustainable, Made-In-America solution for converting resources found in the region into lithium hydroxide, an essential building block in modern battery technology. Electric vehicle manufacturers need more batteries, and they need them now, and those batteries can and should be produced the United States.

But to do it right, and to create the world’s most sustainable advanced lithium hydroxide business, requires a clear purpose and mission, and values and principles that reflect those of the people of Gaston County. We have them.

We will focus on empowering people and working to preserve and protect our planet for future generations.

We will remain true to the values that are representative of our community: Respect, integrity, care, humility, and collaboration.

We will be the most sustainable global producer of lithium, improving the quality of life for people in Gaston County and around the world.

We will live our core values every day, serving customers, colleagues, and our neighbors with dignity and a commitment to making life and work better.
